The 18-hole, par 72 championship golf course at Waterton Park Hotel is regarded as one of the leading courses in the North of England. The course was designed by Simon Gidman and is spread over some 200 acres with a fabulous setting amidst the historic Charles Waterton Estate - renowned as the world's first nature reserve. Its characteristics include tree-lined fairways, protected greens and a distinct sense of serenity. Golfers are treated to fine views of the surrounding parkland, the lake, the island and the grandeur of Walton Hall.
