Royal Marine Hotel, Golf & Leisure, Brora, Highlands of Scotland
Local Attractions
As soon as you arrive in Brora, you'll wish you had more time. The area is literally bursting with things to see and do, whatever your interest - golfing, walking, fishing, wildlife or touring and sightseeing.
The hotel itself has an excellent leisure club and it's own curling rink, and the local area offers breathtaking hill, river, loch and coastal walks. You will most likely encounter an array of wildlife during your explorations, from dolphins and wales in the sea to red and roe deer, pine martins and even wild cats in the woods and hills. Even if you're not a dedicated twitcher, you're bound to be impressed by the sheer variety of local bird life, and if you're really lucky you may even spot a golden eagle.
In the town of Brora you'll discover the Clynelish Whisky Distillery, Hunter's Woollen Mill and the Brora Heritage Centre. The town also has a links golf course, just a short walk from the hotel.
Nearby attractions include the majestic Dunrobin Castle, Loch Ness and the Falls of Shin where, at certain times of the year, you can watch salmon leaping in an unenviable quest to return to their natural breeding grounds.
