Buckingham Villiers is ideal for weddings catering for up to 180 guests and our dedicated team are on hand to assist you at every stage, from the first planning meeting, through the months of careful preparation, to the big day itself - the ceremony, reception, entertainment and overnight accommodation. Your Wedding Day will be personally designed to meet your needs - from exclusive use of the Villiers Ballroom and Suites, if required, right down a custom wedding theme, whether it be classical, modern or tailored to your own specific requirements. If you would like us to arrange a Master of Ceremonies for the day, consider it done.
We can offer the convenience of a single venue for your ceremony, reception, entertainment and accommodation. The hotel holds a Civil Wedding license and the splendid Victorian Ballroom - in the beautifully refurbished old Buckingham Town Hall - is a superb venue for your ceremony. This gracious room is fully air-conditioned and it benefits from natural daylight and an historic ambience to enhance this memorable part of your day. The wood panelled Court Room is available for smaller wedding parties and more intimate ceremonies. Villiers also benefits from some wonderful photographic backdrops for those all-important photos and videos - these include the magnificent Mayor's and Constable's Chamber, the Villiers Courtyard and the stunning landscapes of the nearby River Ouse.

A dedicated bar, adjoining the Ballroom and the Mayor's and Constable's Chambers is available for your event. Here your guests can unwind, mingle and enjoy relaxed socialising throughout the day. Following the Wedding Breakfast, the Ballroom will be swiftly transformed into the style of evening event of your choice. If required, full IT support can be provided, enabling audio visual effects for the more creative speakers.
Villiers features a sprung dance floor, lighting that can be customised for any occasion and
superb acoustics - choose the entertainment that fits your special day, whether its live music, a disco, fancy dress event, a casino night or something a little different. Let the team at Buckingham Villiers help to plan the evening of your dreams. If separate fun for the younger guests is needed, we can organise a disco in the Dungeon - the atmospheric basement bar of this historic building.
Prior to becoming Villiers, the hotel was known as 'The Swan & Castle', and in the early 18th century 'The White Swan Posting House'. At this time there were stables in the courtyard for over 100 horses, ready to change the teams on long distant coach journeys. Designed around this historic cobbled courtyard, Villiers has 46 individually designed bedrooms and suites. Wedding guests are offered reduced accommodation rates, two car parks and a free changing room on the day of your wedding.
